We ran our ever-popular Brilliant Brunches class today – and what a perfect day for it! Mondays aren’t anyone’s favourite at the best of times and today’s wet and extremely windy weather made us feel even more reluctant to get out of bed.
Luckily for us here at Cooks Academy, we were coming in to a day which was all about everyone’s favourite meal, brunch!
Our Brilliant Brunches classes are such a wonderful way to learn all of those little tid-bits of knowledge that will transform your dishes into something really special. The perfect way to impress for a romantic Sunday brunch or a family get-together!
Our chef started them off with the ultimately comforting brunch – oaty pancakes!
And although there was one or two mis-haps along the way!… and a rather over-done pancake….
The final results were very tasty indeed.
We then went on to cooking all things egg-related, with Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs, Croque Madame, and Eggs Benedict. Students learned how to create the perfect Hollandaise Sauce for their eggs – and savour the rich creamy smokiness of the salmon.
We then moved on to creating some wonderful aromas in the school with our Baked Breakfast Fruits and Very Berry Granola.
