We recently caught up with past student from our Certificate in Practical Cookery Jennifer Oppermann to find out how – and what – she is doing now! Since her time at Cooks Academy Jennifer has blossomed into a freelance foodie specialising in food styling, food photography and recipe development.
We remember Jennifer well. She was always eager to make things look beautiful. With a keen eye, we knew she would be an exemplary food stylist from the start. Yet with the beautiful look of the food, there was also the substance of the flavour. Jennifer’s attention to detail and technique were second-to-none. She passed our certificate programme with flying colours and has gone on to wonderful things. We wish her all the very best of luck.
“I have always been an inventive cook but I needed to hone and polish my technical cookery skills so I decide to embark on an intensive certificate course at Cooks Academy, on the recommendation of fellow foodies. With the encouragement and expertise on hand from culinary tutors, Jack O’Keeffe and Nicola Curran I indeed grew in confidence day by day, I left Cooks Academy with so many new skills which were life changing for me and enabled me to work as a freelance foodie specializing in food styling, food photography and recipe development.”
