Catching up with past 4 Week Culinary student

We recently caught up with Rachel Hornibrook, a student who attended our 4 Week Certificate Course in 2012.  We remember Rachel fondly as she was only 16 when she attended our course and yet all the tutors could see that she was one to watch. With a natural cooking talent that shone through from the first day, it was no surprise to anyone that she ended up top of the class and won the title of best student. Lucky girl, she even had the privilege to meet Rick Stein when he visited the school. We’ve been following her wonderful blog – see the details below…

“At just 16, the thought of moving to Dublin for a month was daunting, however the team could not have been more accommodating.”

The tutors were incredible and I learned something new everyday. They really encouraged us all as students but in particular they gave me absolute confidence in my ability while growing my skill set extensively. The course was a real turning point for me as it was then that I knew I wanted to embark on a career involving food, as I am now a student of Food Marketing & Entrepreneurship in UCC.
