What a busy day we had in Cooks Academy yesterday, so much so that the students were flying through the kitchen.

Phew! Well if you think that yesterday was hectic, today was even busier with the students getting to grips with the art of pasta dough.
Chef Darina was the pasta queen on the floor, and giving her tips of the trade, she demonstrated how to make a dough that had plenty of elasticity.
For those who love eating pasta, it really is worth investing in a machine to make your own. There’s something very satisfying about making things from scratch (and how impressive does it look when you’re serving it up to guests?)
Let’s face it, making pasta is actually a lot of fun.
Tomorrow is our final day with this enthusiastic bunch. We’ll be sad to see them leave.
